Tickets

My wife gave me tickets to a dodgers game for Fathers Day for my Dad and I to go. It was the first ever game I went to with my dad in the 80's. We go to relive the moment again in 2014. It was awesome how tickets to a game got us together.

Years later, I went home to El Paso and my dad who loved basketball had gotten us tickets to the University of Texas - El Paso basketball tournament. I was down for it, but didn't realize he wanted me to go all three days. But I said, F' it, I never get to hang with my dad and it was the best thing ever. He's not the most talkative guy but for three days we found stuff to talk about and routed for our team, who lost to Memphis. I emailed the head coach for Memphis that night and thanked him. Sure his team beat ours, but we won in the end. I told him how that tournament brought us together and replied with the coolest email.
